Yup and sorta, respectively.

CutePDF isn't understanding PCL-5.  That's the problem.

Get PrintWizard.  That's the solution.  

What you want to do is something CutePDF can't do, any more than NitroPDF,
or whatever I was using before that (EasyPDF?).  You can -try- banging your
head against it, but I'm telling you, you'll waste way more than $300 of
your time doing it, with zero results, while PrintWizard will just plain
work out of the box.
