Run FP license manager on netbook?

In this case I was thinking of setting up the netbook as the backup 
unit.  If my server fails then I can move backup files onto just about 
any other machine (Windows or Linux/Samba), but I have to have a very 
specific setup for the License Manager.  So the netbook gets turned on 
and plugged in as the backup.

I still have only one source of failure (the current server), but I have 
two options for the License manager.  I can restore a new machine set up 
as the old machine together with the license manager or I can run the 
license manager from the backup netbook while serving the files from 
just about anything.
