So, for the purposes of my original reply, you *are* trying to run the
PDF viewer *on the Unix box*, accessing a local file there.
Your thin-client talks RDP to an RDP server which is the face of a Unix
X-server, on which is in turn running a terminal emulator to run your
filePro programs -- *all* the binaries here are running on Unix except
your RDP viewer, and you need the PDF viewer to run there as well.
First: pull up a shell prompt in that terminal emulator, and tell us the
results of
$ uname -a
