OT: view pdf file on a unix system

Relying on past provided information--including not only the platform, but
how unwilling they've been to move to anything else.

Considering the source, quite possibly. :/

More likely is not knowing how to establish linkage between the two.  For
example, they may have a PDF viewer, but be unable to figure out how to
make it kick in and view something on a Windows box when pressing a certain
key in fP on a terminal session somewhere.  

This assumes OB: fP, which could actually be a dangerous assumption. :)

And have you not -notice- the 30+ post threads in the past, that seem to
indicate that the rules of construction don't always (usually!) apply where
this party is concerned?  :)
