My client who has been using Ipads for his service people mentioned to me
today that Sprint had been into him and showed him a tablet with a 7" screen
made by Sanyo which will run, for now, on their 3G network. What he found
interesting, besides a lower cost, was that it had RDP and Citrix apps
built-in. He is on Windows.
He found that in the horizontal position it lent itself to work nicely with
filePro. The only downside was that the virtual keyboard took up too much
of the screen space. He found an external Bluetooth keyboard which will
work nicely with this tablet. The data plan with WIFI and #G connectivity
was about $30.00/month. This is less than the current cost of $60.00 per
month he is now paying for the Ipads.
He has ordered the keyboard and will be testing this setup. I'll let you
all know what he finds.
