Please tell me how to better control or change the following message.
I know what it means, I just want a way to better present it to a customer.
*** A filePro Error Has Occurred ***
On File: /u/ramsdev/filepro/ots_op_rts_head/lockfile
Inquire, Update, Add Function Running On This File
File not available.?
Somebody else is modifying the file; try again later.?
Is there some method of controlling the "error" message so that it DOES NOT
say an "Error has Occurred".
I do NOT consider a locked file an "error".
It is a condition, that the software has been designed to detect.
When the software detects that condition (in this case,
someone else is Adding or Updating a record in this file)
then the software does not allow you to do some action
(in this case a posting procedure). This is the desired behavior. It is
NOT an ERROR.
The message says "File not available.?"
That is also not true. The file is certainly available for access of
records with Inquire/Update/Add!
And whey the "?".
I'm hoping that after all these years there is a way to modify what
filepro says to the end user when it detects a locked file.
