Our community backs up on a County owned forest preserve.  That's great as
there will be no building there.  The downside is that we are no permitted
to remove dead or dying trees.  If a tree falls, we can't move it.

However, we are permitted to cut down trees if it endangers a building or
can endanger a life.  It is amazing the number of trees that appear to be
endangering homes or when cut, fall onto our property rather into the woods.
