Hello all,

Okay, Bob Rasmussen has mentioned Optical Character Recognition... and that
is not precisely what this is about... but it opens the door for me to send
you all this amazing bit of email I just received. I already checked it out
and downloaded the thing. AMAZING! If you want to be ahead of the curve for
once... and ahead in a huge, new area of development... just look at how the
Kindle from Amazon has exploded on the scene and you'll have an idea of the
importance of this opportunity I'm sending you. It's from my buddy, Ray
Kurzweil. (Well, I don't know him personally, but I've been right with all
his developments for the past 35 years, and I've greatly benefited from
following along...) Just go download this program and install it. Take all
the default answers. It's dead simple. But, it will put you into the future
of nothing less than READING and how it will be done from now on. The
kindle? Why buy a *device*, well other than to carry around something very
portable. But why not instead just use your computer (laptop) to read the
books you need/want to read. Do it with your eyes or your ears!!! This is
a wonderful advance for everyone. Mark my words, this is major. I have no
idea how much books will cost or do cost... they mention a million
available! This appears to be tied into all the huge publishing houses...
and why not. Finally, we can really stop wasting/killing trees and still do
the same kind of book we all like, pictures, charts, words, etc. I hope you
don't mind me taking the liberty of sending this to my group of friends, but
we have always been ahead of the curve on most technology, and this will
help keep us all in that enviable mode. Five years from now, you'll all
thank me for sending you this. Go ahead, take the 2 minutes it took me to
download and test this program. You're all really luckier than I am...
while it worked amazingly well for me, the true "accessible for blind
people" version will be out in October... so I will need to wait a few weeks
for a full package I can use. YOU don't have to wait. Yours is here now....
and it is FREE!!!!! Are the books free? No. Have they ever been? Not that
I've found.... this is just a new way to read them, and you don't have to
buy a Kindle.

Your welcome,
John Esak

that are not available with e-ink devices. Categories such as children's
books, cookbooks, and textbooks, finally have an e-reader that can deliver
the reading experience that was intended by the author. The free application
can be downloaded immediately to all Windows-based devices at the newly
designed Blio.com

"Beginning today, readers of all ages will be able to enjoy a digital
reading experience that truly harnesses the power of an e-reader," said Ray
Kurzweil, inventor of the flatbed scanner and character- and
speech-recognition technologies, and founder of K-NFB Reading Technology.
"By providing a full-color, flexible, and interactive experience, Blio
redefines the boundaries of the e-book, opening up entirely new categories
of multimedia content and, as a result, engaging new groups of readers of
e-books."
