I may or may not be elite, or elitist, but I am definitely to the left of
those who have dropped any (remote whiff of a) political statement that I
can recall reading here.  My wife is a rabid rightist, and we mangage to
keep peace in the house, but I do not want to be subjected to political
discourse on this mailing list.  Political vituperation nearly destroyed my
friendship with Bob Stockler; I do not want to revisit such stress.

So as to a recurring thread on political matters: PLEASE NOT!  There are
hundreds if not thousands of venues, both on- and off-line, for such
discussions, so there's zero reason to defile or destroy the filePro mailing
list with any such perversion of purpose.
