printer problem

On SCO it would be "lp" not "lpr" for your command. And if you just specify
a filename like that you haven't directed it to any printer... It will print
on the defined system default printer.    Try something more like:

   lp -dmyprintername eamil.text

I mean there is certainly the possibility you are really using lpr to print
and not lp and in this case ignore my suggestion.
