Note, many models have a "manual" tray which is actually a fully
programmatically controllable paper source just like any other. It just
looks different, is positioned differently, and usually only holds under
50 sheets, and has a default behavior that it overrides the normal bin
when any paper is present. But that default behavior is override-able
and the tray can be treated and used just like any other paper source.

A model that can handle more than 2 add-on bins is neater and better of
course, just pointing out the option. Some models can only support 2
extra bins, but most of those actually do have 3 usable bins if their
manual tray happens to be good enough for your needs. Some can hold up
to 50 sheets, some can only hold a few or even just one. Even that might
be ok depending on the operation. It's not necessarily wrong to require
the operator always puts a single blank check in the manual slot for
every check for instance, in low volume situations. 15 forms/day, eh,
your & the users call, not a big or small enough number to say
automatically what is or isn't practical.
