Thinking out loud.
What's the value of hf?
Try a show of ut just before the system command to see that it contains everything you think it does.
Regards,
Scott

Subject: Error on system() in fP 5.0.14 Win32 - Need Help
fP 5.0.14DN9 Windows 2003 Server
I have the following in processing:
Then: ut=f:/filepro/cgi_control/utcstamp.pl"{hf
Then: system (ut)
I was getting hung CGI processes...it just hangs there. So, being the
industrious soul I am, I ran the same CGI command and field parameters from
the command interpreter instead of IIS. I then saw filePro "crash" with
the following:
CreateProcess() failed
193(0x000000c1)────────────────â”
5.0.14DN9
comspec="" │ R E Q U E S T O U T P U T │
command="f:\filepro\cgi_control\utcstamp.pl c:/onegate/tmp/paytax-utc-out-1283386187-4000.txt"
Press Enter:
Sorry for 8-bit chars...I'm leaving the paste in-tact.
The thing is, the command that's being run in "command" executes perfectly
from the 'cmd' command interpreter shell. No errors.
Help! This is holding me up...
Thanks in advance!
