Hahaha go ahead and miss the boat.

How about, how hard would it be, and how useful, to insert the ability 
to specify ownership & permissions of files created by open(), print, & 
export? instead of having to go through the garbage we currently have to 
do whenever using these functions to write temp files? And answer the 
same questions about it over and over again to every user who ever tries 
to finally start doing something new with making fp talk to other stuff? 
If we only had the permission to do so...

Yeah that open source thingie stuff, it's such a silly inconsequential 
boondoggle, never going to amount to anything. Not a viable model.
