What is really sweet is that they wrote this on a 286 Leading Edge PC,
using filePro 16
running AT&T XENIX. They just sat on it all this time waiting for the
market to catch-up.
The remote connection tests were done using a series of multiplexers
via dedicated phone
lines running between 1200 and 2400 bps (low) and 4800 and 9600 bps (high).
The really really funny thing is that this line of comment resembles
what I used to pitch when
comparing filePro to FoxPro, DBase III and DBase IV, Clipper and
others ... In my opinion, filePro
was way ahead of the pack. It has outlived some of them ...
