With neither thought nor caution, Kenneth Brody blurted:

Quantum Physics: The state of the tree is indeterminate until someone
observes its state.
Computer Gaming: The tree was de-allocated to optimise performance, and
does not exist to fall or not fall, unless someone is standing within the
field of vision threshhold from the spawn point for the tree.
Computer Programming: Unless it was a binary tree, I'm not interested.
Can't you see that I've been up for 18hrs debugging code? I mean, there's
a clear count of Mountain Dew cans on the floor over there to tell you
that.
Wall Street, as reported by CNN News: Shares in paper products suppliers
plummetted disastrously today, on the news that a tree may have fallen in a
forest. Industry analysts forecast that if trees keep falling over
unaided, there will not be enough trees left to fuel this multi-billion
dollar industry. A leading analyst at Gartner Research predicts that all
business and government functions will become unviable and cease to
function within ten years if this trend continues. The DOW fell 700 points
on the day as a result.
Environmentalism: You cold-hearted bastard! That poor, innocent tree just
DIED, and you not only did nothing, you wouldn't even respect it enough to
watch!
Politics: The rate of falling trees is a serious problem for our country.
I propose we raise taxes 500% to subsidise the planting of new saplings, so
that our children, and our children's children might know the beauty of
seeing a tree standing upright.
The Military: ELINT suggests that a tree fell over in the middle of strike
zone "forest", although HUMINT is unavailable at this time. If ELINT is
accurate, which we have no other choice but to assume, our best course of
action is a pre-emptive strike against the person or persons unknown who
may have caused the tree to fall. The threat of Weapons of Mass
Deforestation is simply too high to do otherwise. Deadly force is
authorised.
John Q. Public: *yawn* Hey, it's time for American Idol.

them on the fly without reference to anything.)
