As far as I'm aware, designing in different colours was a DOS-only
function. I inquired about this in about 1993-4, and was told that colour
in general wasn't even officially supported under *nix, much less designing
in multi-colour.
TTBOMK, that functionality has never been rolled into *nix branches of the
product, which is likely why you're not seeing the options. Ken Brody
could confirm/deny.
Your best bet is to get Laura's application for screen painting.
