The SCO-Approved way of doing this is using lpr based network
printing. Many people do this using standard SYSV printer
interface scripts and netcat.
I developed a printing system over 20 years ago where printers
are controlled by a system where I can route the print jobs to
systems anyplace on the Internet using ssh, but that's probably
not necessary in this case. This was very handy when I was on a
contract in Laurel Maryland in 1987-1988, and could print
invoices on the local printer from our systems on Mercer Island.

It is practically impossible to teach good programming style to
students that have had prior exposure to BASIC: as potential
programmers they are mentally mutilated beyond hope of
regeneration. -- Dijkstra
