System date

I have a tracking application which automatically fills in a number of dates
using @t4 system field.
When one of my clients employees logged in yesterday using terminal server
and entered a number of new tracking records, an odd thing happened.
1. the creation date for these records is 10/22/2010
2. the date entered, auto fill, is 11/02/2010
3. assigned to & reassigned to dates (auto fill) using @t4 = 12/22/2010
When a new tracking record is added, when <enter> is pressed in the tracking
number field, a new number is gotten, and all of the date fields are filled
with the current date. At no time is there access to the date fields. If
certain codes are changed, the comparable date will change.
I have asked the office manager to check with the person entering these
records to check her computer's system date.
Anyone have any other suggestions as to what to look for?
