Is that the windows name that appears in devices and printers?

It appears that you are indicating the port name not the Windows name.

What is the name of the printer under printer and devices?

Your destination should be win:windows printer name.  You cannot use the ip
address or driver as a destination.

I replaced the IP address, 192.168.1.100,  with the device name, HP 
Officejet 6300 series,  so that the printer definition is now:

printer1=print_it,HP_OJ,192.168.1.100,send the output to the system printer.

but I still get no output going to the printer.
