Jim,

I'm sorry, I think I forgot to tell you. George Buys died. The gentleman
who designed the FP Room server/client pretty much to our specs. He was such
a good friend to me, and everyone. He died about two weeks ago. Long
illness. I would have gone to his funeral, but there wasn't even a close
airport to him, and Steve his partner, told me there was no one else coming.
He did, however, receive dozens and dozens of testimonials and eulogies on
the net at his main sight (talkingcommunities.com). He was a real pioneer
in that technology, but more important, he was truly a good, good guy. A
lot of people didn't know it, but he cut off 3 of his fingers when he was
about 17 working in his father's food market. He lost his sight slowly
(took about 10 years during the 80's... By the 90's he was completely blind.
That is what RLP does to you. I can't think of a worse thing, period. In his
case, we are talking no light at all. You could probably talk to him 30
times on the phone and never know it, unless the topic came up somehow.
This doesn't mean he was happy about it, just that he dealt with it so well.

I thought you would like to know, and I am sorry I didn't think to tell
anyone then.

John
