Dennis,
It never hurts to have a backup of the file.
But better yet, if you wanted to change an edit - for example,
You had a date field (8, mdy/) and you wanted it to be (10, yymd/)
filePro would not only add 2 characters it would apply the new edit so
the results would now have the dates in the new format.
This is a very useful tool also.
