Bruce,

If I'm getting your drift, your suggesting that I probably have need for 
just a few "clients" (qualified files) and you're right... it has varied 
from 8-10 or so in my case. Not sure, is there a limit to the number of 
qualified files? It seems the OS wouldn't limit it, but does filePro 
have a limitation?

Anyway, I was also thinking that if he has millions of records per 
client, it could take quite a little time to copy on-the-fly,  the 
records associated with the particular client. So.....

Depending on the limitation to qualifiers question, another solution 
might be to have each client ALWAYS work in their qualified file instead 
of the main file.... and as they create, modify or delete records there, 
it creates, modifies or deletes records in the main file as well. Then 
the need to copy all the client records on demand to a qualifier would 
completely go away!

But maybe he has hundreds of clients though.... I don't know.
