I have a new server with ubuntu 7.04
I have been trying to install filepro on it, first the termcap was a issue. and the install would not complete I would get this error message
filePro has not been tarred into the /tmp/fpinstall/appl/fp directory.
Please restart installation.
GNU termcap is a project which enables programs to use display terminals in a terminal-independent manner.
The termcap package is replaced by the ncurses package. so probably installing ncurses-dev is the best option. But if your program still requires termcap here is how you can install it on ubuntu.
download :
ldso
libc5
termcap-compat
Install termcap-compat:
sudo dpkg -i ldso_1.9.11-15_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i libc5_5.4.46-15_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i termcap-compat_1.2.3_i386.deb
Then I installed the termcap the installation looked like it was completed It even said this license belonged to another machine and I have only seven days to fix this
contact fpsales 800-847-4740 Press enter to continue I did and a blank screen appears
Then I called the 800 number what was I thinking?
Has anyone have filepro running on ubuntu and working and not having any problems and if so did you have any problems on the install
any help will be greatly appreciated.
