It's quite possible that it's simply not installed by default. There
should be a termcap package that you can install if it's not already
installed.
If termcap support was actually dropped entirely in FC11, well that has to
be one of the stupidest moves I've ever seen. Termcap has been depricated
for years in favour of terminfo, but enough things rely upon it that it
shouldn't be dropped.
Even OpenSuSE 11.1 has termcap. If Fedora dropped it, then they don't know
what they're doing. I'm finding it hard to believe anyone was that stupid,
though. Sounds like a mangled install. I'd actually prefer to think it
was a mangled/incomplete install than to think a vendor was so ignorant as
to pitch termcap out the window entirely.
