I believe the usual approach in filePro is to insert a printcode before
each field; that printcode would do horizontal positioning. However, this
doesn't address the need for right-justified numeric (or other) columns.

In Print Wizard, a long time ago, I added capabilities to use a special
control character (FS = Field Separator), which PW would use as a signal
to "resync" to the correct column number, based on a document-standard
pitch. This feature never got a lot of buy-in that I know of, so it's a
little rusty.

More recently, I've explored the idea of using an HTML-style table. Print
Wizard has quite a bit of table logic available for use.

Anyone interested in exploring either of these techniques in Print Wizard,
let me know.
