Nothing available yet.
Note that this is not a PDF generator. We support that on Windows-based
platforms now, with Print Wizard. At one point we made a Linux variant,
but we didn't keep up with it.
The new capability takes PDF as input. Not too many people do that. PDFs
can be hugely complex, and we'll probably never handle all of them - we're
shooting for a reasonable subset. Once we can parse and understand the
file contents, we can render it to screen or printer.
Here are some places you might expect to see this capability integrated
into our software:
* View a PDF in th image window in Anzio (File:View an Image File).
* Use a PDF as an overlay image without doing an external conversion
first.
* Attach a PDF to an outgoing fax (more reliably than now).
* Print a PDF under tighter Print Wizard control.
* Convert PDF to TIF, etc.
* Extract text from a PDF.
* Print a PDF on specified printer, with specified number of copies,
orientation, duplexing, other options.
Other ideas are welcome.
