With older versions SCO OpenServer (we're running 5.0.6a in
VMware virtual machines), you need an /etc/TIMEZONE file
containing something like this:

TZ='PST8PDT,M3.2.0/2,M11.1.0/2'
export TZ

Of course adjust for your local time zone.
