the single inverted comma is the Excel string marker -> '
However, I don't think excel recognises it in a csv file as anuthing else
than a valid character.
Somethimes it is better to define the file name with .dat and Excel will not
try to auto import it but starts an import wizard in which yo can set column
data types so you could then set the type for this column to text and the
problem would not occur.
