To cut to the chase, could you:

    1) state the final result that you attempting to code.
    Example: select records within a date range (between x and y)
and also containing the value i in field 22.

    2) post the prc code as it is now. Please include
automatic, -v and output processing.

    3) state what works correctly and what doesn't.
