If you have nothing preventing you from using some flavor on *nix, then
you could always add a *nix server to the fray, experience the power and
security, and get the best benefit of all, Reface and PrintForm.
You could always run a Virtual Machine on a windows box, and *nix in the
Virtual world, and not much of an expense.
Just my 2.5 cents.
