Denny,
You need to put the field as a real filepro field, not a dummy field,
otherwise, filepro has no place to put your data.
Think about what you are asking.
If you stored any data in a dummy field, that is well and good but
unless you have some real location to put it when you are done, it is gone.
Just add a field to the filepro file, make the size 16 and the edit
MEMO. Then use that field to reference and manage the data in the
memo. It is only adding 16 characters to the filePro file itself, and a
new file called BLOB where it will keep track of the data you put in the
memo field.
