PFQUIT in 5.0.15

Can anyone else confirm PFQUIT has no effect on 5.0.15?
Specifically, it's as if it's always off, such that no matter what, rclerk
ignores the quit signal (usually Ctrl-\
on *nix) and there is no mention of changing PFQUIT behaviour in
5_0_15_read.me
test, first establish the context:
stty -a # (quit = ^\; good)
echo $PFQUIT # (no PFQUIT in environment, good)
echo $PFCONFIG
/u/global/appl/fp/lib/config # (wants the right config file, good)
configed # (no PFQUIT in config file, good)
now for the real tests:
In each case, just press Ctrl+\ once clerk pops up. Clerk should exit if
PFQUIT=ON.
export PFQUIT=ON; /u/appl/fp/rclerk # (Ctrl+\ no effect)
export PFQUIT=OFF; /u/appl/fp/rclerk # (Ctrl+\ no effect)
export PFQUIT=ON; /u/appl/fp_5014/rclerk # (Ctrl+\ clerk exits)
export PFQUIT=OFF; /u/appl/fp_5014/rclerk # (Ctrl+\ no effect)
Then I unset PFQUIT in my environment and added it in configed
and re-tried the new rclerk just to be sure it wasn't something odd
where it needed to be in the config file instead of the environment.
No difference. It also doesn't work if PFQUIT simply doesn't exist
at all any where in env or in fpconfig.
This is on Linux.
