(OT) screen garbled BackupEdge install on OSR 5.0.7

Hi Bill.

My recollection is that XTERM from SCO and Linux have very little relation
from a capabilities and terminfo standpoint. 
I'd set the TERM variable to vt100 and try again.

Given that there are a fair number of OpenServer users here that
also use BackupEdge, I figure this is a pretty good place to ask.

I just tried installing a current verion of BackupEdge from CD at
a client site using an xterm ssh'ed from one of our Linux boxes.
After answering the first couple of prompts, which appear to be
in plain shell echo, read, mode, it shifts to a curses or other
full-screen mode, with total garbage for characters.  It appears
that it may have shifted the terminal to graphics characters
instead of text.

I seem to remember having run into this in the past, but don't
remember what the fix was.
