And a hell of a price.
Personally I would rather have a fully configured Mac Pro with 2 30in
monitors and 32GB RAM, but that would definately cost more than my 2005
Subaru Legacy Wagon. Then again, I'm not a gamer, JAPH (that's python, not
perl these days). I tend to have about 30 xterms in ssh sessions open at
any time plus Firefox, Safari, iGTD, and occassionally NeoOffice (native
Mac version of OpenOffice.org).
My next computer will probably be a 15.4in Macbook Pro with 4GB RAM. FWIW,
I was at an all-day python workshop yesterday, and of the 13 laptops I saw,
10 of them were Macs (my 867MhZ 15in Titanium Powerbook probably the oldest
and slowest, but it still runs Leopard, what Vista would like to be :-).
