That may be considered a challenge, but I consider it a feature as the
FilePro way is far more efficient for people doing serious heads-down data
entry. FP has the ability to define tab stops where one can jump to major
data groups quickly as well.
The office manager/legal secretary at the law firm where we installed our
first mission-critical Linux system in Sept 1997 complained that here
productivity dropped 50% when the firm required they use MS-Word instead of
WordPerfect. WP rarely required one to move fingers from the home keys
while MS-Word did.
Mousey, event-driven interfaces are great for many things, but doing high-
volume data entry isn't one of them. They are useful for updating existing
data by less skilled people (e.g. Managers :-) and where one often changes
a very few data entries in a random manner.
