Linux and file creation/copying

Hi All,

Posting this on behalf of Bruce Easton.  STN just moved their offices and
their mail server.  Their new RDNS isn't right, and I highly suspect that's
why Celestial is not taking Bruce's posts.  I'm working with them on that.

Meanwhile, here's a question from Bruce, which he asked me to pass on.

(Their inbound mail works fine, so you can answer privately to Bruce, if
you wish.  Please don't get me in the middle of a reply-fest, though.)  :)
