I agree with Shane.

isn't SOP for fp-tech for this something along the lines of fixing it
for correct precendence and adding some env variable default to old
way like:
PFSETSELECTIONSSHOULDUSEINCORRECTOLDANDORPRECEDENCELOGIC=ON
