Solaris has /bin/truss natively.  It's a SysV system.

Further, the strace that's present on Solaris is not the strace you're
thinking of from linux and other BSD variant systems:

NAME
     strace - print STREAMS trace messages

Trust me, that is -not- the program you want to use, based on the man page.
You want to use truss on that platform.
