fpCGI failure, part 2

Heh. Thanks for the plugs for OneGate and the offers to reduce my tylenol
bill, but I haven't actually spent ANY significant time on this past
analyzing the error (an hour or so), setting up the tests to run (20min) and
shooting off various emails and files to fptech (maybe an hour total so
far). I never even wanted fpcgi's v2, but our reseller insisted it would
solve our issues (which it obviously won't), and one of our companies still
uses fpcgi for their intranet management tools. Their developer will need
this issue resolved, as they want to continue using fp, and after this issue
is resolved I'm going to be putting the ball firmly in her court for
supporting fpcgi.

It's moot for the main company's website, as I'm just finishing putting the
touches on our MySQL mirror for our invoicing data. You can see the public
shopping cart interface for it that I am finishing up at
http://209.200.66.242/shop.php if you care for that sort of thing. No more
AJAX calls to filepro at all. Data is mirrored via system calls to our
server's mysql client as it changes, and it only needs to be mirrored back
once a day for accounting purposes. Once the inventory management system
interface is complete, live mirroring won't be necessary at all - a once a
day sync for accounting will do fine. At which point we can start looking
at other 3rd party accounting packages, as our accounting needs are pretty
basic now that we've outsourced human resources, and we can think about
decreasing our inhouse IT expenditures on software development enormously.
