filePro and symbols

George,
What type of form are they printing from filePro that would allow them to
enter text?
Are you using the memo field option to print letters?
If you are using the memo field for a form, have you considered exporting
the text to a file and then importing this into a word processor where the
smiley or other fancy formatting can be done?
What type of printer is your client using?
If it is one that will accept downloadable fonts(graphic), you might be able
to find the smiley faces they want. Then either download this to the
printer or call it from the print table as needed.
Currently I am doing this with a scissor image on a form letter to indicate
"cut on the dotted line".
You can store the various images in a directory(folder) and in your
processing create a list box of available images. The problem is going to
be how to get the image into the form at the proper place as this is a
variable.
In my case I used Jim Asman's make PCL program to create the image file and
stored the coordinates in the print code. That will be the hard part,
getting the placement coordinates to be correct.
