rreport on Windows

I have an output process that creates records in another file for 
several hundred records (Windows 2000 server w/filepro 5.08).
When the process starts, the whole screen goes blank and never 
shows the count-down of selected records (right now all but one 
record in the file).  I don't get anything back on the screen 
until the process is finished.  Is this normal behavior for 
Windows filePro?
