Thanks for the plug! I'll forward this on to the rest of the development
team, namely Bobby Ezell.
Here are some additional technical details:
1. The filePro is generating PCL-5 data, and sending it to an AIX print
queue.
2. The data is passed via the LPR/LPD protocol to the Windows box, where
PWLPD is running as the LPD daemon.
3. The queue is configured to translate the PCL, and write via the Windows
printer interface to a pseudo printer driver that is part of a document
management package, from another party.
4. The document contains specially coded text that indicates to the
document management software how to index the document for retrieval.
5. In the future, they will apply a form overlay to the data as it is
given to Print Wizard, which will merge it into the document.
Total cost to them for Print Wizard was $300. Such a deal.
