Long variable name losing value

I'm sure there MUST be something in the program that is causing
this. I've not seen any problem like this before. I'm having
trouble accessing that system for testing again, but I want to
have a closer look with the debugger around the system commands.
I would think it strange if the program was partially bombing
out during a system command and able to write some fields and
not others, but I guess I should keep an open mind for now.
I will post any findings once I am able to test more.
