Only if you plan on writing it poorly. "Old School" (non-ajax) applications
should only hit filePro for tenths of a second. You are in and out of filePro in
the blink of an eye for most of what you might do.
If you're gonna feed those 5-15 minute to build reports via a web interface,
then you'd be better off with a ETL movement into a SQL database that won't have
seat issues. Beside most users will assume it's broke if you don't get them data
in 5-15 seconds. Send the process to the background and email them the reports
when it's done.
You can create a cgi-bin script to run filePro in a dozen lines of code, but I
suggest you contract with Mark to use his OneGate Product.
