OT: Have You Noticed Something Similar

Just a quick followup to my previous "no" answer.

Between midnight and 9AM this morning, I got 793 spams that made it
through my filters.  My daily "held mail" report (which gives the
"from" and "subject" of everything that was caught and placed into
my held mail folder) is over 1.5MB.  A quick "wc" on the file shows
that there are over 13,000 items listed as caught in the past 24
hours.

Now, admittedly, I don't usually get anywhere near this amount, but
it looks like a major spam run was done overnight, and many by newly
trojanned systems.
