I had the lp system corrupt 3 different times at client sites on 5.0.7.
What I found was that the several of the lp commands had gotten
corrupted. I know I copied the relevent files from another system
to /usr/lib and either copied or linked the /usr/bin/entries.
/usr/lib/cancel, lp, lpmove. lpr. lpstat
and I think lp is linked to lpr or vice versus.
If I remember some of these are linked to /usr/bin.
I know on 2 of times trying rlp and reverting caused the problem and
maybe 1 time was do to trying CUPS. Both mess with
linking different files to those files.
If you look at the file sizes it should give you some idea of
what is messed up.
