Urgent help needed: Licensing snafu following server crash

This linux site was running 5.0.14. Last month I upgraded their copy of dclerk to
5.0.15 to avail myself of bug fix #783 (declare global fields didn't persist through
a lookup - ). I downloaded and extracted fpinstall from the distro, then manually
copied the dclerk binary to PFPROG, and the licfp.dat file to PFPROG/lib.

All was fine for some weeks. This morning their server crashed (power outage due to
their UPS dying). Upon reboot, dclerk will no longer run, giving instead

*** A filePro Error Has Occurred ***

Repeat my copy-from-distro procedure as per what I did last month, no help. The
licinfo utility gives me:

         Platform: LINUX
         License creation date: 20051209

This makes no sense to me. This worked prior to this morning's crash/reboot. What
steps am I missing? How can I troubleshoot/fix this? I'd like to avoid the pain of
a full reinstall of filePro from the distro. Reverting to the 5.0.14 dclerk is not
an option, since their production code now depends on the absence of bug #783.
