While they may look the same to the untrained eye, TECO commands will do
something that you want, whereas line noise will probably do something
else.

Fortunately, enough time has elapsed since I last used TECO that the only
thing I remember is "eivideo" (followed by ESC or Enter, I forget which)
to enable full-screen editing mode.  And that's only because we had a
little jingle to go with it -- "Old McTECO had a file. E I VIDEO."  Sorry,
but that's burned into ROM, along with such things as the theme song for
"The Brady Bunch", or Sherman's and Mr. Peabody's voiceprints.
