Hi all,

Our beta test process for version 16 is winding down. We're now accepting
orders, and intend to start shipping this week some time. But I thought
some of you might want an advance look without enrolling in the beta
process. Call it a "gamma test".

For a quick test, link to
   http://www.anzio.com/~ras/anzio16/anzio32.exe
and tell your browser to run it. You can run this WITHOUT an INSTALL - it
will run right off our server (but may not have correct function key
definitions).

For details of new features, and procedures for a full install, see
   http://www.anzio.com/~ras/anzio16/readme16.txt

Following are some highlights of new features:

* Image Viewer: a second window allows display of an image file from disk,
server, or scanner. Use this to build an image-enabled application.

* Scanner Support: Scan and print, scan and email, scan and save, scan and
upload. Do programmatic scanning without user intervention.

* Email Support: Print to PDF and email it. Print to TIF and email it. Do
general emailing, supporting four different Windows email protocols.

* Toolbar: Now on by default, with some pretty useful toolbuttons.
Configure them more easily than before.

* Print a File: Easily print files of many formats, from the menu or
toolbar.

* Fax Support: Print to fax, while specifying all the details of the
outgoing fax, including control of cover pages.

* SSH Local Port Forwarding

* Backchannel Serial Ports: Virtualize PC serial ports over the network,
control serial devices from the server.

* Multiple Backchannel Printers: In an SSH connection, drive multiple
local printers from the server.

These and other new features are described in the readme mentioned above.
