Try a google search on LD_ASSUME_KERNEL or look at Red Hat's
documentation.  Setting this environment variable may help.
Frequently this comes with error messages about errno not being
thread-safe.

I've had to fiddle this on sites running Syspro/Encore MRP
software, and I think some versions of Oracle have similer
problems.  I had to install CentOS 4.5 this month on a system to
run the Syspro software as CentOS 5.0 wouldn't handle this.  This
probably means RHEL5 wouldn't work either.
